Water Treatment Plant Preparing Water For Many Applications

Posted by Admin on June, 06, 2012

A Water Treatment Plant is a type of Water Treatment System where water is treated to make it good enough for various applications. Different types of water purifying equipment are used in Water Treatment process like Water Filters, Oil Water Separators, Screening Equipments, Sludge Treatments Equipments, Ozone Generators, etc. Water from various sources like lake, river, well, etc. and even waste water released from various areas is treated by Water Treatment Plants. Its main function is to remove waste materials like rags, plastics, other solids particles, color, odor, pollutants, and harmful germs and microorganisms.

Various Processes Of Water Treatment Are:

  • Sedimentation
  • Filtration
  • Chlorination
  • Disinfection
  • Coagulation

Different Types Of Water Treatment:

  • Water Sewage Treatment
  • Agricultural Waste Water Treatment
  • Industrial Waste Water Treatment

Applications: There are many types of Water Treatment such as –

  • Waste Water Treatment: Water Treatment Plant uses Waste Water Treatment device to treat the contaminants from the waste water and make the wastewater reusable.
  • Surface Water Treatment: It is used to make surface water fit for municipal applications. Suspended impurities, colloidal matter and organic components are removed through processes like sedimentation, aeration, screening, disinfection and sand filtration.
  • Containerized Water Treatment: Pollutant-free water is made available in remote areas with the help of Containerized Water Treatment plants. These are installed near military and mining camps.
  • Ozone Based Water Treatment: Water Treatment Plants use ozone for water purification. Ozone is an excellent disinfectant for microbes, such as cryptosporidium and protozoan parasites. The main advantage of ozone plant is that it doesn't need addition of any extra chemical to the water.
  • Seawater Treatment: Seawater is treated to remove dissolved minerals and salts at a seawater treatment plant. This plant utilizes various processes like desalination, membrane separation, vacuum freezing and more to make the water fit for use.
  • Package Wastewater Treatment: Package Wastewater Treatment is done by using the method of aeration. These plants are available in different sizes and are used for applications in small and medium urban areas, remote mining areas, construction sites, educational areas and at various sites.

There are some more types of Water Treatment Plants like Bottled Water Treatment and Mobile Water Treatment with their specific applications. These are specifically designed by Water Treatment Plant Manufacturers for purification of water for various applications and have different sophisticated technologies for doing so.
